Coincidentally, this week is Brain Awareness Week, and here in Eugene it’s hosted by the Brain Development Lab at the University of Oregon. There’s lots of free brain-themed events! If you’re in the area, why not attend the FREE Brain Awareness Expo at the WOW Hall on Saturday, March 10 from 1 to 4 pm? I’ll see you there.
BRAINS ARE AWESOME
UPDATE 3.10.12: Nate and I went and I got to HOLD A REAL HUMAN BRAIN IN MY HANDS! Well, half of one anyway. And it was pickled in an icky chemical so I had to wear gloves. It belonged to a little old lady! I also held a sheep brain and a dog brain. And a guy was poking at a cow eyeball so we could see how it worked. And they made a cockroach leg dance to the beat of a song.
