A Furious Pipedream

So, Husband and I had our first anniversary, and it was lovely! We went out to Chinese and saw Avengers in 3D. I’m not really into 3D and I think it’s a gimmick and a huge waste of money but he loves it.

He also has a phone now! ERMAGERD

But it’s not turned on, he’s using a free thingie and I’m gonna get him hooked up with Skype on it.

And I turned 30 yesterday! And I’m at school right now, my first Spanish 101 class starts in a little less than a half hour and it’s IN THE BASEMENT DUN DUN DUN. I already had my first Effective Learning class wherein I learned that I am equal parts a visual and auditory learner and that I’m only slightly less so a kinesthetic learner. And that I am right-brained with a strong tendency towards global thinking. So I think that means that my brain is incredible. Zombie delicacy.

I saw Elina for the first time in forever yesterday (HI ELINA I KNOW YOU’RE STALKING MY TUMBLR), and I hung out with her and Ichi and Will and Ayla showed up to say hi for a bit too! I love my friends. I wish more people coulda made it but you know, drinking at 11 am on a Sunday is just too rock n’ roll for some people. I had a nice birthday!

It’s still not too late to wish me happy birthday if you didn’t have a chance. Just saying. >:D

Husband had to work so he took me out on Saturday to see Prometheus in 3D! It was great! A lot of people will disagree with me (including Husband) but they obviously just hate change. And they can’t let the whole “xenomorph” thing go. SERIOUSLY GUYS IT WAS TOTALLY RUINED BY THE 4TH SEQUEL AND DON’T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON ALIEN V. PREDATOR. SHAMEFUL.

So my summer break was like, a week and a half long but it was nice. I got to sleep in and I DIDN’T DO SHIT. It was awesome.

Okay, for some of you who want to help me celebrate my birthday, you may be thinking something like, “I want to get Lyndse a gift for her birthday, I wonder what she might like!” This post is for you!

I’m a very easy person to please if you want to give me a gift! Here are some ideas for very inexpensive gifts if you want to give me one:

1. Nail polish. I’d like some neon and pastel colors!
2. Pony beads. Glow in the dark, neon, the clear sparkly ones, UV-reactive, primary colors, pearlescent, or just random whatevers.
3. Flip flops. Summer’s comin’. I need me a new pair of flippy-floppies to bum around in, size 8.
4. Banana clips. I’ve been looking all over for some and haven’t found any!
5. Mini-Sharpies. Especially lime green ones. I keep losing them.
6. Make-up. I’m trying to fill out my collection. Just cheap stuff is fine, as long as it’s COLORS!

Or you could make me something! Handmade gifts are the best and make me feel super special!

Okay, so it looked like for a while I was gonna have to cancel my 30th birthday party! That made me pretty bummed out, especially since it’s a very special birthday. But guess what! It’s back on again!

The “pizza and prizes” idea had to be scrapped, but that’s okay ‘cause I came up with an even better idea:

I’m going to have a SUPERHEROES THEME PARTY at my house! It’s gonna be awesome, everyone’s gonna dress up like superheroes! Unless they’re total squares!

I am so excited to see all my friends dressed up in capes and masks and stuff. My friends are totally fun so I know they’re going to love this!

The party won’t actually be on my birthday ‘cause my birthday is on a Sunday and that’s a really shitty day for buses, and like me most of my friends take public transportation like responsible citizens because they’re awesome. So I’m having it the day before, then I’m going to go brunch bar-hopping on my actual birthday with anybody who wants to come. I’m definitely going to make sure I stop by Dutch Bros. too and get my free coffee! (By the way, if you know of other places I can hit up to get free birthday presents around Eugene, please let me know! I love free stuff! And birthday presents!)
