RANDOM UPDATE ON MY LIFE

Yeah it’s been forever, shut up.

So the landlord decided the tree in our front yard was sick and had to come down. We tried to convince him not to but we failed at that.

So, in the process of the tree removal folks removing our tree yesterday afternoon, they let the tree fall into our bedroom window. Luckily Lily wasn’t killed- she pretty much lives on that window sill. Also all the stuff on the window sill managed to make it through a fucking tree flying through the window unbroken, but there’s glass ALL OVER OUR BEDROOM and we still haven’t cleaned up. Husband and the cats and I all camped out in the livingroom last night.

Our garden kicks ass and it’s really coming along! It’s beautiful. I’ll take pictures.

Been volunteering for WOW Hall a lot, doing pretty good in school, got a job with the Media Arts department, I’m shopping for a really rad summer job right now.

Still haven’t had a housewarming party ‘cause we’re fucking broke. SIGH

That is, if my financial aid goes through. I turned in my appeal on Monday (FINALLY), so now we just wait. It takes up to four weeks for an appeal so who the hell knows. Everyone else will be getting their disbursements on Thursday. Mine will prolly be delayed for who knows how long.

But seriously, I am so happy and excited about my classes! This is the kind of stuff I wanted to learn last fall. I wish I would’ve started out in Graphic Design.

I know I haven’t been around much lately but I’ve been trying to get my shit together.

You may have gathered that Husband and I moved! We’ve been back in Eugene for almost a month now and we are SO HAPPY with our new apartment! It’s way more affordable for us and we have our own garden to take care of and we like our neighbors a lot. The neighborhood is awesome and we’re close to everything! So yeah we are pretty stoked, ‘specially about having more disposable income. And I’m close to so many of my friends now! And I can volunteer for the WOW Hall more often since it’s only like two blocks away. Crizzly is gonna be performing this Saturday and I’m gonna try to work that show. Husband might wanna, too.

Husband is a wizard now. I mean, he always has been but now he looks like one. We lifted the color out of his hair and toned it and now he’s platinum blonde. White as snow. It’s crazy. He also ordered a churchwarden (or long-stemmed) pipe which should probably be arriving today. So I think that will officially make him a wizard.

Winter term is over and unfortunately due to assorted hardship and mental stress I had to drop my classes AGAIN. I know, this is totally unheard of. I dropped them back in week 7 and I’m still working on my financial aid appeal. But I am excited because Spring term means I get to start on my new major, Graphic Design! I’m registered for “Digital Design Tools”, “Photography 1” and “Music Technology - MIDI/Audio 1”. I just hope I get my financial aid situation straightened out really soon. I’m nervous as fuck about that. I’ll let you know how it goes. In the meantime I have to start shopping for work so I can make rent just in case there’s a problem with my appeal and/or my financial aid award for the term is delayed.

Other than that I’ve just been working my transcription gig a lot so I can make rent. You know how it is.
